Are you getting into a good “post Covid” rhythm or are you struggling to find your new normal? If you’re not doing as well as you thought you would you are not alone. I’ve been advised that since Covid introverts are more introverted and extroverts are less extroverted. So whether we realize it or not, the two years of Covid has changed many of our rhythms and coping mechanisms.
Many have jumped into the post Covid with both feet and are feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and frustrated. Anxiety and depression has peaked and often times we don’t understand why. It shouldn’t be this way.
Why am I feeling like this?
God knows us better than we know ourselves and He sees our struggles. That is why He says…COME!
Jesus says: “I will make you…” What do you want Jesus to do for you, how do you want Him to help you? What do you want Him to make you into? When I mentor women and they’re struggling I always give them this verse: “Above all else, guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life” (Proverbs 4:23). Because your new post Covid rhythm starts between you and Jesus, and He tells you to COME to him with your anxiety, thirst and new purpose and passions. Yes, you can run to Google, your friends and even your Doctor and I’m a full out advocate for that.
Because Jesus knows you better than you know yourself. Ask Him to help you take care of your heart. Ask Him to help you to find your new rhythm and balance that will give you, not stress and anxiety, but fulfillment and fresh joy.
I’ve spoken to many women who are confused to what’s happened to them after Covid. They thought things would be just like they were before. But they won’t be. We were forced into a Covid rhythm so that we could survive the last two years, and now we’re
trying to find our new normal. God is a Creator and is always creating newness and He can do that in you and for you as well. He can help you find your way and He says…COME!
What is frustrating you and making you feel exhausted and soul weary? Grab your Bible, find a beautiful quiet spot and COME to Jesus with all your cares. This is where you will eventually find your new rhythm. God be with you and bless you.
